The Constitution, of course, does not mention 'separation of church and state.' Law students should get refunds for being taught that it does.

On the google page, the ABC News headline showed why it should be re-named ABC Liars Club as it flounders into irrelevancy. It says, "Christine O'Donnell unclear about first amendment."
Misinformed law students should get their money back from the law school. They and ABC News do not view the Constitution as the Constitution (except when it's convenient). That would be "unsophisticated" to them. As Coons said,

"It is important for us in modern times to apply the Constitution as it exists today and as it has been interpreted"....
  • Coons could take steps to officially change the Constitution if he wanted, but instead just pretends it doesn't exist. Law students apparently do the same.
What the US Constitution's First Amendment does say is as follows: or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
