"Preliminary speakers, including Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and Texas Federation of Republican Women President Theresa Kosmoski urged the crowd to vote for Trump over Hilary Clinton, who was described as a “crook” multiple times throughout the “Donald J. Trump for President Rally” at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center in The Woodlands.

“Hilary Clinton will eliminate the Second Amendment,” Patrick said in regards to the Supreme Court Justice appointment. “We must defeat Hilary Clinton.”...

Trump painted the picture of a safe and prosperous America with a wall for border security, better trade deals, and improved veteran care
.
He slammed former President Bill Clinton for signing NAFTA that he said and President Barack Obama for “trying to terrorism into guns” after the Orlando massacre. He exclaimed war should be declared on ISIS.

It’s not guns,” said Trump...“It's terrorism.

Cheers rang out chanting “U.S.A.” after Trump theorized on how events could have played if the Orlando victims had been armed.

“We are going to save the Second Amendment,” he yelled.

Trump reminded the audience of the loss of conservative Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and the role the next president will play in the historical appoint of the justices.

“If Hilary gets it we are going to be like Venezuela,” Trump said. “You see what’s happening in Venezuela? It’s not going to be pretty. …...

Melissa Pearce of the Woodlands wrapped herself in a “Make America Great Again” flag during the event.

“I thought it was amazing,” said Pearce who waited in line for 2.5 hours. “Very energetic. I’m a new business owner, so what he said about taxes, veterans, the wall, we need it. He gives me hope.

At least two protesters near the stage thrown out during the preliminary speakers, according to New Caney Real Estate Broker Roy Rogers who has followed Trump on television since the beginning of his campaign.

He stood in line since 1 p.m. to attend and felt the wall could help prevent drugs from entering into the U.S. and help alleviate Heroine and opioid problems.

“It’s awe-inspiring,” Rogers said. “It’s all the same thing he talked about already but it’s unbelievable. Some of the nicest people standing in line, just a lot of good people, what you hear in the news about all the bad thing happen you know it’s not true. The only two protesters unfortunately were right next to me and they were bad mouthing, (he almost knocked a woman over, he was very rude”

“The crowd was so diversified,” he added. “I can’t believe all these women, Hispanics who “so-called hated him” showed up. It’s just amazing to me.”"...

"Donald Trump wrapped up a two-day fundraising tour of Texas by telling supporters Friday that Republicans are coalescing around him.

"Let me tell you, folks, we have tremendous support — tremendous support," Trump told thousands of backers at a hotel-convention center complex in a suburb of Houston.

The self-described "outsider" who is on his way to the Republican presidential nomination said to a crowd of more than 1,000 supporters that "the party is actually liking me."

Trump also mocked calls for more gun control in the wake of last weekend's mass shooting at an Orlando nightclub, saying the killer could have been stopped if more patrons had been armed — they could have shot the "son of a [expletive]," the candidate said, drawing loud cheers and chants of "U-S-A" from the crowd for his use of the invective....

During his appearance near Houston, Trump recited a familiar litany of issues during a 47-minute speech that included the Muslim ban, an anti-illegal immigration wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, and pledges to reverse the job-killing effects of "bad trade deals." Trump bashed Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton and her husband, ex-President Bill Clinton.

Trump gave shout-outs to signs that appeared in the crowd, including "Mexicans For Trump" and "Gays For Trump," both of which are among the demographics heavily opposed to him, according to political polls....

During his two-day trip to the Lone Star State, Trump visited Dallas and San Antonio as well as the Houston area for a string of fundraisers and public rallies in which he entered and left to the tune of "Deep In The Heart of Texas."...

Earlier in the day Trump visited a private fundraiser held at Houston attorney Tony Buzbee's house in River Oaks.

The GOP candidate wraps up a week-long, cross-country campaign swing with events Saturday in Las Vegas and Phoenix."
